Alongside the release of Sarah's new film, Rooted.
Limited edition poetry prints on handmade paper by Lauren Ink, pressed with botanical dyes on an 18th century letter press.
With a focus on listening to and drawing strength from nature, this poem by Sarah is a snippet from the main theme tying the whole film together and pinning it in place.
The brief was to design a print that reflected the river habitat where the River Wharfe passes through Hubberholme. Lauren created this illustration of an oyster catcher perched on a river carved limestone rock, dipping it’s beak into the water. The movement of the text and the colour transition in the print is suggestive of the hidden layers of the river down to the silt and sediment.
